When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abelardo Derwin made a kick off. River Plate's Nereo Gilesindo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. After 62 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Urdaspal. Abelardo Derwin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Nereo Gilesindo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Abelardo Derwin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Nereo Gilesindo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nereo Gilesindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Moise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nereo Gilesindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Derwin in the 69th minute of play. Erasmo Moise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Gilesindo having to interfere. Godfredo Matteo hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. In the 99th match minute, Zafarrancho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Urbes to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Zafarrancho FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than River Plate throughout the match.
