Emiliano Marino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emiliano Marino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Kellogg in the 41st minute of the match. Abel Mundo kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y Tiro de Salta's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Lawrence came free, but Emiliano Marino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Gimnasia y Tiro de Salta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Loconte were winning 0-5.

Loconte made a substitution. Denis Ondino replaced Freddy Kellogg. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Sadurni lost his temper 73 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 74 played minutes Gimnasia y Tiro de Salta got a freekick which was hit by Leo Sadurni. Loconte's Prudencio Quinton got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denis Ondino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Raitin couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Gimnasia y Tiro de Salta defense, Mariano Bingen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Marino. The Gimnasia y Tiro de Salta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Marino should have stopped the shot.
