The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Patricio Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Abaurre in the 7th minute of play forced Fernet Football's goalkeeper Otto Ekström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonardo Gilen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Higinio Bernad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fulgencio Lope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Erruki having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Tovarishch F.C got a freekick which was hit by Israel Bernal. The supporters of Fernet Football booed when Tovarishch F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Florin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th match minute, Fernet Football was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Lluterio to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Fernet Football defense, Leonardo Gilen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Otto Ekström. The Fernet Football fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Otto Ekström should have stopped the shot. In the 24th match minute, Fernet Football was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Bernad to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Fernet Football's zone, Leonardo Gilen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otto Ekström came out of the goal and Leonardo Gilen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 34 in the game by Leonardo Gilen from a close distance when the talented Otto Ekström managed to make a qualified save. Fernet Football's players were relieved. Leonardo Gilen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Ekström having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Leonardo Gilen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tovarishch F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Gilen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otto Ekström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 2-0 became the score in the 47th minute when Leonardo Gilen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Higinio Bernad stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Fernet Football's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Gilen came free, but Otto Ekström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Tovarishch F.C fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Tovarishch F.C's Leonardo Gilen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 65th match minute, Fernet Football was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Bernad to maneuver through the defense. Fernet Football's Otto Ekström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Gilen in the 67th minute of play. Leonardo Gilen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Gilen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Otto Ekström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Israel Bernal came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Tovarishch F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Bernal couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the game, Tovarishch F.C's Leonardo Gilen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Otto Ekström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Patricio Abaurre took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otto Ekström. Otto Ekström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. If Leonardo Gilen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Israel Bernal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 92nd minute, Patricio Abaurre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonardo Gilen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Ekström having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Leonardo Gilen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tovarishch F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Gilen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tovarishch F.C fully deserved thier win.
