Recreo's Saul Mark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Transito in the 44th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Pablo Transito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saul Mark. Recreo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pablo Transito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.

Serafino Christobal made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Recreo's Victoriano Jakes. Pablo Transito might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saul Mark. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pablo Transito ran back to his position shaking his head. Norberto Ganix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Terciero in the 61st minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Ignacio Terciero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Recreo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a rather tough play, Mercado Paulista F.C.'s Vasco Lisboa got a free kick in the 68th minute. Vasco Lisboa hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Lisandro Cordero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Recreo's supporters rose to their feet, but Lisandro Cordero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Ganix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Norberto Ganix came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Recreo's Ignacio Terciero. But to his dismay, Ignacio Terciero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 81 minutes, Melchor Eguen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Recreo and the Mercado Paulista F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Recreo getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Melchor Eguen hit a great ball. The supporters of Recreo booed when Mercado Paulista F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Lucian didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Michael during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th minute, Augusto Michael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Mercado Paulista F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mercado Paulista F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
