A collision led to LACAAGUAZU getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Adrian Ieltxu hit a great ball. Ruperto Jerardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melchor Urbasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruperto Jerardo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Fabricio Vincente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Vicente Fonda had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aldo Venerando during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th match minute, LACAAGUAZU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Venerando to maneuver through the defense. Fabricio Vincente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabricio Vincente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Melchor Urbasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Qwinton hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Fabricio Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in LACAAGUAZU's zone, Fabricio Vincente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melchor Urbasa came out of the goal and Fabricio Vincente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Tobias Argider managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores Unidos Zarate's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Argider was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melchor Urbasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to LACAAGUAZU getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Guaberto Hartz hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Aldo Venerando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in LACAAGUAZU's zone, Fabricio Vincente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melchor Urbasa came out of the goal and Fabricio Vincente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fabricio Vincente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Defensores Unidos Zarate were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aldo Venerando was the one to do the kick off. Joaquin Sotero hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Venerando in the 54th minute of play forced Defensores Unidos Zarate's goalkeeper 林夕政 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabricio Vincentes short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Melchor Urbasa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 66th minute, Guaberto Hartz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Argider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Urbasa having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, LACAAGUAZU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Gregory to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind LACAAGUAZU's goalkeeper Melchor Urbasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabricio Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabricio Vincente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Urbasa having to interfere. The supporters of Defensores Unidos Zarate booed when LACAAGUAZU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Hartz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabricio Vincente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvano Valente came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Melchor Urbasa could save by the left post. Tobias Argider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Melchor Urbasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabricio Vincente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Urbasa having to interfere. Melchor Urbasa made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Fabricio Vincente sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Defensores Unidos Zarate left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than LACAAGUAZU.
