Rosendo Eguen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 12th minute Elpidio Tipi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Lapurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Los Angeles Galaxy's Jairo Inocente seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jairo Inocente the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Los Angeles Galaxy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jairo Inocente had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los Angeles Galaxy! Octavio Lapurdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Tipi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Blas Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Lapurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavio Lapurdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Chico in the 20th minute of the match. If Lukasz Petka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukasz Petka in the 24th minute of play forced Chichinales AFC's goalkeeper Rosendo Eguen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chichinales AFC's zone, Lukasz Petka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Eguen came out of the goal and Lukasz Petka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elpidio Tipi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Octavio Lapurdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Lapurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Ferrer in the 31st minute of play. Octavio Lapurdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Celipe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Angeles Galaxy's Octavio Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Celipe in the 35th minute of play. Blas Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Lukasz Petka hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Los Angeles Galaxy's Octavio Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Abreu in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Lukasz Petka dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rosendo Eguen, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lukasz Petka made a kick off. Los Angeles Galaxy's Octavio Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Celipe in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Blas Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavio Lapurdi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Octavio Lapurdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Rosendo Eguen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukasz Petka in the 61st minute of play. Armando Chicos short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Octavio Lapurdi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 63rd minute, Armando Chico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rosendo Eguen came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Angeles Galaxy's Lukasz Petka. But to his dismay, Lukasz Petka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. With a little luck, Los Angeles Galaxy's Octavio Lapurdi got control of the ball when Elpidio Tipi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elpidio Tipi came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Octavio Lapurdi could save by the left post. 75 minutes into the match, Los Angeles Galaxy's goalkeeper Octavio Lapurdi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blas Abreu. After having played for 79 minutes, Lukasz Petka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Angeles Galaxy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lukasz Petka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rosendo Eguen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Egun, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Lukasz Petka struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Rosendo Eguen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Angeles Galaxy. Octavio Lapurdi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chichinales AFC. Los Angeles Galaxy's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
