Ambrosio Romelio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in deportivo la plata's zone, Epifanio Lohitzun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Romelio came out of the goal and Epifanio Lohitzun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Brea FC's Adolfo Darien got control of the ball when Enrique Ranolfo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adolfo Darien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Generoso Rocendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Epifanio Lohitzun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ambrosio Romelio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adolfo Darien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Santxol in the 37th minute of play. Generoso Rocendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Adolfo Darien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, deportivo la plata's Generoso Rocendo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jairo Tiadoro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Epifanio Lohitzun couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the game, Jairo Tiadoro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Ambrosio Romelio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
