Lunlunta's Nicasio Pirro got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Nicasio Pirro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lunlunta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Benito Osasun sped through Esquel FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Honorato Danel. The Esquel FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
