Spectators: 7106 (Terracing: 5335, Seating: 1635, VIP seats: 136) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cayetano Pasqual kicked off to start the match. After 4 minutes, Fausto Giorda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luján and the Esquel FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute, one of Luján:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Luján. After having played for 9 minutes, Ruben Roland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luján's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Roland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honorato Danel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruben Roland went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Esquel FC defense, Leonides Gaufred kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Honorato Danel. The Esquel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Honorato Danel should have stopped the shot. Leonides Gaufred struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Honorato Danel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luján. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Leonides Gaufred sped through Esquel FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Honorato Danel. A collision led to Esquel FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Nicolas Ramirez hit a great ball. Fausto Giorda kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Honorato Danel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Roland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruben Roland in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honorato Danel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Luján's zone, Cayetano Pasqual stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Ioritz came out of the goal and Cayetano Pasqual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honorato Danel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Gaufred, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Esquel FC's Santo Porfiro got a free kick in the 40th minute. Cayetano Pasqual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonides Gaufred made a kick off. When Nicolas Ramirez fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esquel FC's protests and gave Nicolas Ramirez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Nicolas Ramirez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ruben Roland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-4 became the score in the 65th minute when Sibal Topi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ruben Roland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Danel having to interfere. Santo Porfiro hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Ruben Roland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Honorato Danel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Gaufred in the 78th minute of play. Honorato Danel made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Ruben Roland sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, Luján's Sibal Topi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Santo Porfiro kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Luján had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
