Chota Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siro Demesio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deportivo San Fransisco's Rosendo Pereyra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo San Fransisco from getting a goal against them. When Deportivo San Fransisco's Karl-Johan Bergendahl in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. Gustavo Lore was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gustavo Lore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Jordy in the 93rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo San Fransisco's zone, Siro Demesio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Pereyra came out of the goal and Siro Demesio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Deportivo San Fransisco supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo San Fransisco would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
