The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 16 minutes, Eloy Palban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Düsseldorf FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eloy Palban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Eloy Palban's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernan Beat was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 20thth minute of the game Eloy Palban who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astra FC's Fernan Beat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guillermo Senon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Beat having to interfere. After 24th play minutes Eloy Palban shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Fernan Beat and just under the crossbar into goal. Düsseldorf FC's Leo Henry proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Düsseldorf FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Astra FC booed when Düsseldorf FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Musko didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Astra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Palban came free, but Fernan Beat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Musko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eloy Palban stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fernan Beat made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Eloy Palban sent off a good shot on target. If Eloy Palban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Guillermo Senon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Eloy Palban notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Astra FC's Fernan Beat. Fernan Beat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eloy Palbans short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Fernan Beat to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 66 minutes into the match, Astra FC's goalkeeper Fernan Beat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eloy Palban. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eloy Palban in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernan Beat saved Astra FC from getting behind. Düsseldorf FC's Guillermo Senon got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Astra FC got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Vincente. Fernan Beat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Silban in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, Astra FC's Alejo Osmundo got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 76th play minute Eloy Palban came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fernan Beat. 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Astra FC's zone, Eloy Palban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernan Beat came out of the goal and Eloy Palban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eloy Palban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgardo Silban missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 94 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Fernan Beat right hand side. When the final whistle sounded Düsseldorf FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Astra FC.
