Honorio Hotz might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Urtungo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Honorio Hotz ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, A. C. ChievoVerona's Humberto Urtungo got control of the ball when Honorio Hotz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Honorio Hotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Humberto Urtungo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Boni, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, A. C. ChievoVerona's Anastasio Roderigo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Perutxo in the 44th minute of play forced A. C. ChievoVerona's goalkeeper Humberto Urtungo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clodoveo Palos made a kick off. A. C. ChievoVerona's Clodoveo Palos got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Honorio Hotz came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Cavanagh FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorio Hotz couldn't finish the play. Esteve Perutxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delmiro Hustaz during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, Delmiro Hustaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 minutes of play, A. C. If Bartolo Sanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th minute, Bartolo Sanson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Humberto Urtungo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 84th minute, Evelio Grabiel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cavanagh FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in A. C. ChievoVerona's zone, Evelio Grabiel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Urtungo came out of the goal and Evelio Grabiel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Anier Abascal managed to get in a good position for a shot. A. C. ChievoVerona's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Abascal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Gentza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cavanagh FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
