La Guardia Imperial were furious when Pedro Bertran was red carded, 4 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Guardia Imperial fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! In the 7th minute there was a penalty for legolas. Luca Nicolae stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Baldomero Stephen. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Theo Rijmenans managed to get in a good position for a shot. legolas's supporters rose to their feet, but Theo Rijmenans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Stephen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baldomero Stephen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Orkatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldomero Stephen came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by legolas's Luca Nicolae. But to his dismay, Luca Nicolae quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Paulo Javiar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cafu Moreno's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Theo Rijmenans managed to get in a good position for a shot. legolas's supporters rose to their feet, but Theo Rijmenans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Stephen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, La Guardia Imperial's goal looked a bit too open when Theo Rijmenans came free, but Baldomero Stephen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomero Stephen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Nicolae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Theo Rijmenans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Baldomero Stephen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Theo Rijmenans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Theo Rijmenans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, La Guardia Imperial's Ramon Gonzalez got a free kick in the 55th minute. German Chuan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Javiar having to make a save. The supporters of La Guardia Imperial booed when legolas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Orkatz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baldomero Stephen made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Theo Rijmenans sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as legolas's Luca Nicolae slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Baldomero Stephen. That made the score 1-4 after 65 minutes of play. If Cafu Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, legolas's Luca Nicolae ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baldomero Stephen. Baldomero Stephen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Eusebio Orkatz hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. With a little luck, La Guardia Imperial's Baldomero Stephen got control of the ball when Eusebio Orkatz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulo Javiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cafu Moreno in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Theo Rijmenans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The legolas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6.
