River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Huly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Raul Huly had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ambrosio Orlin. In the 68th minute, Cornelio Argina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ambrosio Orlin made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Raul Huly sent off a good shot on target. Ambrosio Orlin came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Raul Huly. In the 85th minute of the match, Wit Popowicz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ambrosio Orlin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 85 played minutes Club Atletico Boca Junior got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Argina. Ambrosio Orlin was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Wit Popowicz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wit Popowicz really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. River Plate's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
