In the 18th minute, EL PORVENIR's Cayetano Luzaide dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Roque George sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Cayetano Luzaide made a precise shot to the right of Anibal Ioritz. Grupo Universitario FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Grupo Universitario FC's Anibal Ioritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Evis in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque George in the 33rd minute of play forced EL PORVENIR's goalkeeper Alfredo Millano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Grupo Universitario FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Enaut. Alfredo Millano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Enaut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Enaut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Millano having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Enaut to make the kick off. Grupo Universitario FC's Pedro Enaut got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grupo Universitario FC's Anibal Ioritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Evis in the 54th minute of play. After 56 minutes of play, EL PORVENIR's Cayetano Luzaide made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anibal Ioritz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roque George sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Enaut's late challenge caught a EL PORVENIR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Enaut helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Enaut hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Cayetano Luzaide scored 5-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anibal Ioritz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anibal Ioritz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Evis, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Cayetano Luzaide scored 6-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anibal Ioritz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. EL PORVENIR's Bruno Theodore was substituted for Benedicto Evis. Blas Hibai charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blas Hibai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Blas Hibai kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Grupo Universitario FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Cruz came free, but Anibal Ioritz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for EL PORVENIR! After 86 minutes EL PORVENIR's goalkeeper Alfredo Millano managed, with a little bit of luck, save Pedro Enaut's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Alfredo Millano came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Grupo Universitario FC's Pedro Enaut. But to his dismay, Pedro Enaut quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. 94 minutes into the game, Cayetano Luzaide cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Anibal Ioritz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. EL PORVENIR's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
