Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Pique FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Marciano Noe hit a great ball. Anacleto Txartiko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Maximino Elazar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maximino Elazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Chinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Pique FC's Maximino Elazar got control of the ball when Anacleto Txartiko tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Mazarredo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Montay to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Casimiro Osoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Beturian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. One of Pique FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mazarredo FC:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mazarredo FC's zone, Casimiro Osoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Beturian came out of the goal and Casimiro Osoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pique FC's Maximino Elazar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Pique FC from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Mazarredo FC's Celedonio Chinto got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximino Elazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Indartsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 71stth minute of the game Casimiro Osoro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mazarredo FC's Valentin Beturian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pique FC's goalkeeper Maximino Elazar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Casimiro Osoro might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Beturian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximino Elazar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pique FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Mazarredo FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
