The audience was convinced that Astor Presebal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cipriano Fagildo was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Cipriano Fagildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Bartoli in the 6th minute of play. Laferrere's Fermin Enekoitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Laferrere from getting a goal against them. In the 18thth minute of the game Astor Presebal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trini y Neo's Cipriano Fagildo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Laferrere's goalkeeper Fermin Enekoitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauro Baldovino. The supporters of Trini y Neo booed when Laferrere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Bartoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Marco Izel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laferrere's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trini y Neo the free kick. Marco Izel kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When Astor Presebal came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Laferrere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Presebal couldn't finish the play. Nereo Truylos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Cipriano Fagildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Trini y Neo's Fulgencio Iratxo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fermin Enekoitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Astor Presebal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With 53 minutes on the clock, Dionisio Etxekopar commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Astor Presebal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Cipriano Fagildo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 66 minutes into the match, Laferrere's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Baldovino came free, but Fermin Enekoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Fagildo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cipriano Fagildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Presebal in the 81st minute of play. Mauro Baldovino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the game, Fabio Bartoli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laferrere's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trini y Neo the free kick. After 83 played minutes Laferrere got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Bartoli. Astor Presebal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Astor Presebal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laferrere's supporters rose to their feet, but Astor Presebal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Fagildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fermin Enekoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Baldovino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mauro Baldovino came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Trini y Neo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Baldovino couldn't finish the play.
