The audience was convinced that Honorio Liher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victoriano Egoi was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 34thth minute of the game Göran Sigfridsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mugueta FC's Zacarias Semeno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Alderetes AFC's Gustavo Breogan got a free kick in the 38th minute. A hard shot by Clemente Asteri from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Victoriano Egoi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Ceferino Reynardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoriano Egoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Liher in the 46th minute of play.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Dominic in the 67th minute of play forced Mugueta FC's goalkeeper Zacarias Semeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Göran Sigfridsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Semeno having to interfere. Victoriano Egoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venancio Pacorro, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Eusebio Dominic could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Zacarias Semeno made a huge save. Alderetes AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
