The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alonzo Benvide didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victor Matteo went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Rodrigo Cordario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Argoitz in the 8th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Felix Perfecto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Benvide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonzo Benvide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Macario in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Arturo Argoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Cordario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Payogasta's Victor Matteo got a free kick in the 16th minute. Delmiro Aznar hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Alonzo Benvide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Hibai, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Payogasta's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Argoitz came free, but Rodrigo Cordario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Arturo Argoitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrigo Cordario was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Alonzo Benvide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Perfecto in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Payogasta booed when Mefisto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Aznar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Arturo Argoitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mefisto FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Alonzo Benvide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Perfecto in the 35th minute of play. Alonzo Benvide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Macario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 minutes, Ambrosio Hibai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Payogasta and the Mefisto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th minute, Ambrosio Hibai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Matteo in the 45th minute of play forced Mefisto FC's goalkeeper Alonzo Benvide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alonzo Benvide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Hibai, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Albino Lesardo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rodrigo Cordario firmly grabbed it by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Argoitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Arturo Argoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alonzo Benvide didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ambrosio Hibai went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Payogasta's Ambrosio Hibai slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alonzo Benvide. That made the score 2-3 after 60 minutes of play. In the 64th minute of the match, Felix Perfecto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alonzo Benvide was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rodrigo Cordario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Lesardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Cordario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Argoitz in the 68th minute of play. Felix Perfecto scored 2-4 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alonzo Benvide, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Macario in the 74th minute of play forced Mefisto FC's goalkeeper Alonzo Benvide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 played minutes Mefisto FC got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Sol. Payogasta made a substitution. Humberto Ordono replaced Silverio Cordareo. Venancio Sol hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Arturo Argoitz put it in 3-4 from a short distance just to the right of Rodrigo Cordario. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Lesardo in the 90th minute of play forced Payogasta's goalkeeper Rodrigo Cordario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mefisto FC's Alonzo Benvide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Macario in the 92nd minute of play. Rodrigo Cordario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Argoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alonzo Benvide made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Felix Perfecto sent off a good shot on target.
