Joaquin Carbone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gösta Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Carbone having to interfere. In the 27th minute Domingos Guipuzkoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Carbone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gösta Hedlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Isidoro Telesforo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 39 minutes into the match. If Domingos Guipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Carbone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Hedlund in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Boca Jrs were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Silverio Abadie reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joaquin Carbone. The goal made the score 0-3. Gösta Hedlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Carbone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Leopoldo Gabino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Joaquin Carbone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boca Jrs's Gösta Hedlund got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aldosivi's Joaquin Carbone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Aldosivi from getting a goal against them. Aldosivi's Joaquin Carbone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Guipuzkoa in the 81st minute of play. Gösta Hedlund took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Carbone. Silverio Abadie stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joaquin Carbone. 0-7. 96 minutes into the match, Aldosivi's goalkeeper Joaquin Carbone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gösta Hedlund. Joaquin Carbone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gösta Hedlund went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. When the final whistle sounded Boca Jrs left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Aldosivi.
