Mauro Gamus succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 21st playminute. 25 minutes into the match, Quichagua's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Ferrer came free, but Dario Reno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 played minutes Quichagua got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Lorencio. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Alejandro Frantzes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quichagua's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Frantzes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Llin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dario Reno made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Mauro Gamus sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Dario Reno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Ferrer, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute.
