Spectators: 7010 (Terracing: 5341, Seating: 1638, VIP seats: 31) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Clodoveo Bladi took the kick off in the first half of the match. Angel Mateus was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Albano Mateo. Quichagua's Alejandro Frantzes got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Quichagua's zone, Claudio-Paul Caniggia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dario Reno came out of the goal and Claudio-Paul Caniggia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vinicio Abel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Dario Reno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dario Reno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Bladi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, PATRONATO V.C.'s goalkeeper Angel Mateus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejandro Frantzes. Vinicio Abel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute, one of Quichagua:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Quichagua. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for PATRONATO V.C.. Luciano Jordy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dario Reno. 2-1. After having played for 35 minutes, Clodoveo Bladi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PATRONATO V.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Clodoveo Bladi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quichagua's Arnaldo Baladi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Angel Mateus but with some difficulty. Dario Reno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clodoveo Bladi in the 42nd minute of play. When Vinicio Abel came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the PATRONATO V.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinicio Abel couldn't finish the play. Dario Reno came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by PATRONATO V.C.'s Clodoveo Bladi. But to his dismay, Clodoveo Bladi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silverio Lucila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Quichagua's goalkeeper Dario Reno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Bladi in the 63rd minute of play forced Quichagua's goalkeeper Dario Reno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Vinicio Abel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vinicio Abel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Reno having to interfere. With a little luck, Quichagua's Dario Reno got control of the ball when Clodoveo Bladi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, PATRONATO V.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Frantzes came free, but Angel Mateus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angel Mateus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Frantzes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angel Mateus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Frantzes in the 77th minute of the match. Fidel Lorencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, PATRONATO V.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Frantzes came free, but Angel Mateus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, PATRONATO V.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Abel to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Clodoveo Bladi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Reno was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After having played for 87 minutes, Vinicio Abel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PATRONATO V.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinicio Abel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fidel Lorencio's late challenge caught a PATRONATO V.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fidel Lorencio helped the player get up and apologised. When the match was over PATRONATO V.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Quichagua throughout the match.
