Spectators: 7042 (Terracing: 5382, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raimundo Estevez started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Ombucto's goalkeeper Teo Luke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gino Branco. The referee gave Deportivo Riestra a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Basilio Jaunti, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ombucto's Teo Luke. 1-0. 8 minutes into the game, Aldo Obano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Riestra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ombucto the free kick. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Riestra's Aldo Obano got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Godofredo Macerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Atarratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Tabb during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes Deportivo Riestra got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Tabb. The audience was convinced that Gino Branco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teo Luke was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. The supporters of Deportivo Riestra booed when Ombucto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Macerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Deportivo Riestra's goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Macerio came free, but Rafael Atarratze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Riestra's Basilio Jaunti got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 47 played minutes Deportivo Riestra got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Tabb. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gino Branco to make the kick off. If Ubaldo Paublo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Raimundo Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Atarratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ombucto's Clodoveo Ranolfo got a free kick in the 60th minute. Raimundo Estevezs short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Rafael Atarratze to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Riestra's Romeo Tabb got a free kick in the 64th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Rafael Atarratze successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 67 minutes into the game, Godofredo Macerio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rafael Atarratze. Godofredo Macerio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When Godofredo Macerio came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ombucto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godofredo Macerio couldn't finish the play. Godofredo Macerio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Teo Luke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gino Branco's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Ombucto's Godofredo Macerio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Atarratze made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A collision led to Deportivo Riestra getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Romeo Tabb hit a great ball. Teo Luke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Tabb in the 86th minute of play. If Jesus Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Tabb in the 93rd minute of play forced Ombucto's goalkeeper Teo Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute of the match Mariano Seme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teo Luke skillfully saved the ball. Ombucto were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Deportivo Riestra's much stronger midfield.
