Spectators: 5142 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 142) Conrado Urtats made the kick off and thus started the match. David Maule was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Conrado Urtats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Maule having to interfere. Manuel Abeitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Generoso Darien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severo Evis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Messi FC's Albano Vargas got a free kick in the 30th minute. Tacaglé's Leonardo Rocio got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severo Evis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Tacaglé booed when Messi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Daunte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Tacaglé's Roberto Garci got a free kick in the 38th minute. Messi FC's Generoso Darien proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Messi FC from getting a goal against them. Gaston Iturri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tacaglé's zone, Gaston Iturri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Maule came out of the goal and Gaston Iturri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaston Iturri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severo Evis was the one to do the kick off. Albano Vargas's late challenge caught a Tacaglé's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albano Vargas helped the player get up and apologised. David Maule made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Boyesen in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gaston Iturri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Maule was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. With a little luck, Tacaglé's David Maule got control of the ball when Conrado Urtats tried to sneak it across the goal line. Conrado Urtats's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Maule read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 67th minute, Santo Lawrence hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Messi FC's Rolf Boyesen couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tacaglé. David Maule showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Boyesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. With a little luck, Tacaglé's David Maule got control of the ball when Conrado Urtats tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnaldo Kaxen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 80 minutes, Rolf Boyesen made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Tacaglé's David Maule tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Tacaglé's zone, Rolf Boyesen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Maule came out of the goal and Rolf Boyesen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 96 minutes, Fulgencio Oliverio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tacaglé and the Messi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Messi FC booed when Tacaglé was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Oliverio didn't get a good kick on the ball.
