A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Bartosz Zembrzuski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Evaristo Maia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cieneguilla's Evaristo Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Geofredo in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Teo Oton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chimbas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cieneguilla the free kick. After 33 played minutes Chimbas got a freekick which was hit by Teo Oton. Aurelio Arnau made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Edelmiro Mergildo sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Chimbas booed when Cieneguilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidal Bilbao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dito Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Edelmiro Mergildo struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Aurelio Arnau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cieneguilla. In the 46th match minute, Chimbas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Oton to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Matias Erroman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aurelio Arnau was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bartosz Zembrzuski to make the kick off. If Edelmiro Mergildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bartosz Zembrzuski was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Chimbas's Aurelio Arnau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Erroman in the 65th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Cieneguilla's Edelmiro Mergildo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurelio Arnau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Chimbas's zone, Edelmiro Mergildo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Arnau came out of the goal and Edelmiro Mergildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Chimbas getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Evelio Pacho hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Cieneguilla's Edelmiro Mergildo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Arnau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teo Oton was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Chimbas getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Teo Oton hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Aquilino Abecia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Geofredo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evaristo Maia having to make a save. Bartosz Zembrzuski was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Chimbas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
