Cartón y justicia's Tomás Benvido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xuan Bolivar in the 24th minute of play. Cartón y justicia's Benicio Quexal got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Xuan Bolivar notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cartón y justicia's Tomás Benvido. Tomás Benvido was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fernan Shepherd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Benvido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Shepherd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damian Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Xuan Bolivar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Benvido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florida's supporters rose to their feet, but Xuan Bolivar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Benvido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernan Shepherd to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Placido Toli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cartón y justicia and the Florida players grew even worse after the yellow card. Placido Toli kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Florida's Jose Tebaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Arias in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Cartón y justicia getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Evelio Paublo hit a great ball. Jose Tebaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Quexal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Benicio Quexal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Cartón y justicia's Celestino Claris got a free kick in the 74th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Damian Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cartón y justicia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Benicio Quexal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Florida's zone, Benicio Quexal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Tebaldo came out of the goal and Benicio Quexal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jose Tebaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Florida's zone, Benicio Quexal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Tebaldo came out of the goal and Benicio Quexal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Tebaldo having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Cartón y justicia's goal looked a bit too open when Xuan Bolivar came free, but Tomás Benvido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Cartón y justicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Rivas to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Benvido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Ebardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Florida had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
