Bernabe Platon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Bero in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Matii FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Aquiles Beat hit a great ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Gonzalo Savier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yatasto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Savier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonzalo Savier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Bernabe Platon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Angel Bero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Platon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernabe Platon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Bero, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Aquiles Beat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Apolo Admon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Matii FC's goalkeeper Bernabe Platon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 45 minutes, Evelio Bidari mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matii FC and the Yatasto players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, one of Matii FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Matii FC. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Yatasto. Gustavo Tab stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bernabe Platon. 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Matii FC's Luisito Pere got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Yatasto's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Pere came free, but Apolo Admon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Admon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisito Pere's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Ulises Arnau's late challenge caught a Matii FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulises Arnau helped the player get up and apologised. Ulises Arnau hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Gustavo Tab's shot from long distance in the 69th minute was not bad at all, but Matii FC's Bernabe Platon knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Bernabe Platon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Savier, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. A collision led to Matii FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Florentino Mouricio hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angel Bero got free with Bernabe Platon in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute of the match Carmelo Marin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Apolo Admon skillfully saved the ball. Aquiles Beat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Admon having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Yatasto's zone, Luisito Pere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Admon came out of the goal and Luisito Pere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernabe Platon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Savier in the 84th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Aquiles Beat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Yatasto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yatasto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
