The referee ignored Club Atlético River Plate's protests and gave Hector Lidon a yellow card for diving instead. Paulo Gergori made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Eusebio Euloxu sent off a good shot on target. Gerardo Bernebe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ismael Lohitzun having to make a save. If Joel Montrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Gergori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Euloxu in the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Eusebio Euloxu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paulo Gergori, 1-0. Ismael Lohitzun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Bernebe in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Lelchuk in the 34th minute of play forced Club Atlético River Plate's goalkeeper Paulo Gergori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerardo Bernebe made a kick off. Rosendo Pereyra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Paulo Gergori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Hector Lidon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Gergori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Euloxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Mango's zone, Joel Montrel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Lohitzun came out of the goal and Joel Montrel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Montrel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ismael Lohitzun made a huge save. Atlético Mango's Ismael Lohitzun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Mango from getting a goal against them. Joel Montrel might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismael Lohitzun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Montrel ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Mango's zone, Gerardo Bernebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Montrel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Ismael Lohitzun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 81 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Lelchuk came free, but Paulo Gergori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gerardo Bernebe came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Club Atlético River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Bernebe couldn't finish the play. After 88th play minutes Joel Montrel shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Ismael Lohitzun and just under the crossbar into goal.
