Spectators: 7130 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 75) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ezel Lobo started the match with the kick off. Ezel Lobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Ongile having to interfere. Silvestre Castel charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvestre Castel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, Depo Merlo Oeste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Castel to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Machigasta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Ishmael came free, but Severino Nisio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Machigasta FC's goalkeeper Severino Nisio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alican Okgüç kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Arturo Cordara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Depo Merlo Oeste's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Cordara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Nisio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Machigasta FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arturo Cordara was slow to take the kick. During this time Depo Merlo Oeste's players had a chance to rest. Depo Merlo Oeste's Arturo Cordara was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Severino Nisio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The long shot by Clodoveo Ruy in the 22nd minute really tested Severino Nisio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Arturo Cordara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Severino Nisio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horacio Ishmael could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Severino Nisio made a huge save. After 28 minutes, Joakim Lööf mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Machigasta FC and the Depo Merlo Oeste players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 played minutes Machigasta FC got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Lööf. In the 29th minute, Horacio Ishmael got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alican Okgüç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Depo Merlo Oeste's Jorge Tabor seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jorge Tabor the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Depo Merlo Oeste protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jorge Tabor had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 39th minute, one of Depo Merlo Oeste:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Depo Merlo Oeste. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Machigasta FC. Angel Lastur stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Saul Ongile. 0-1. Depo Merlo Oeste's Saul Ongile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Palos in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Machigasta FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Cordara was the one to do the kick off. Machigasta FC's Joakim Lööf got his second yellow card of the match in the 51st minute. The referee ordered Joakim Lööf off the ground. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 50th minute of the game. One of Machigasta FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Depo Merlo Oeste:s goal. Severino Nisio had in the 52ndth minute some difficulties stopping Arturo Cordara's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Machigasta FC defense, Arturo Cordara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severino Nisio. The Machigasta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Nisio should have stopped the shot. In the 56th minute, Ezel Lobo made a precise shot to the right of Saul Ongile. Depo Merlo Oeste's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The supporters of Depo Merlo Oeste booed when Machigasta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Havier didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marcial Curcio fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Depo Merlo Oeste's protests and gave Marcial Curcio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Depo Merlo Oeste getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Marcial Curcio hit a great ball. Machigasta FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Angel Lastur in the 66th minute. Clodoveo Ruy tried in the 66th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Saul Ongile a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-3. 72 minutes into the game, Machigasta FC's Alican Okgüç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saul Ongile made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Alican Okgüç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Roman Lando left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Machigasta FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Arturo Cordara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Cordara in the 85th minute of play forced Machigasta FC's goalkeeper Severino Nisio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 minutes of play, Depo Merlo Oeste's Horacio Ishmael made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Nisio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute, Horacio Ishmael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Machigasta FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
