Julio Estevon started the match with the kick off. Octavio Mercurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Erramu in the 4th minute of the match. Tytus Olszewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Tipi having to interfere. When Eliseo Rufo fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gómez FC's protests and gave Eliseo Rufo a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gómez FC! Julio Estevon walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Cecilio Tipi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Sanchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Inter de Santa Fe's Tomás Sanchez got a free kick in the 13th minute. A collision led to Inter de Santa Fe getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Justino Ofelio hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Inter de Santa Fe's Bonifacio Sugoi got a free kick in the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gómez FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Reynaldo Silban hit a great ball. If Tomás Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Gómez FC's Cecilio Tipi got control of the ball when Julio Estevon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Estevon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Cecilio Tipi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Domingo Orlan hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute of the match Julio Estevon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cecilio Tipi skillfully saved the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucio Benino was the one to do the kick off. Cecilio Tipi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julio Estevon's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Reynaldo Silban got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Gómez FC's Reynaldo Silban got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter de Santa Fe's goalkeeper Octavio Mercurio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ulises Erramu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Julio Estevon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cecilio Tipi was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Tomás Sanchez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ulises Erramu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gómez FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulises Erramu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Mercurio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tytus Olszewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute of the match, Miguel Victoro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Octavio Mercurio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 84th minute Gómez FC were awarded a corner. Carlos Osmundo went to the cornerflag to take it. Miguel Victoro might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavio Mercurio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Victoro ran back to his position shaking his head. Ulises Erramu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Mercurio having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Julio Estevon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Tytus Olszewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Santa Fe's supporters rose to their feet, but Tytus Olszewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cecilio Tipi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
