Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sergio Arias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Hilario Ondino made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Braulio Primeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Braulio Primeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Rico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evaristo Dacio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Braulio Primeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasaray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chacarita the free kick. Ermegildo Manilan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Valentin Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Ondino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Chacarita getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gabriel Berbiz hit a great ball. Alfonso Rico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Manilan, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Chacarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Berbiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hilario Ondino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergio Arias in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Furtado came free, but Hilario Ondino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 49th minute of the match Chacarita got a corner. Galatasaray's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hilario Ondino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Furtado in the 57th minute of play. Valentin Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Ondino having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Armando Gabino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd match minute, Chacarita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Dacio to maneuver through the defense. Alfonso Rico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Manilan in the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Eugenio Cristofol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
