In the 3rd match minute, Camarones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Gaztea to maneuver through the defense. Ildefonso Roderigo came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Camarones's Ramon Timo. But to his dismay, Ramon Timo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Eustacio Urtun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ildefonso Roderigo. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ildefonso Roderigo should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Celio during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Camarones booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Celio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Gaztea came free, but Ildefonso Roderigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes, Carolo Lleir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Camarones players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute Eustacio Urtun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ildefonso Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Erdiano to maneuver through the defense. Racing Club's Ildefonso Roderigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosendo Gaztea in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jairo Blasi to make the kick off. Danilo Uria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Cayetano Pes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Racing Club's Ildefonso Roderigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. Eustacio Urtun kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Eustacio Urtun's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustacio Urtun helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Eustacio Urtun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ildefonso Roderigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Urtun in the 72nd minute of play. When Mauricio Dolfos came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Dolfos couldn't finish the play. Eustacio Urtun was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Camarones's Eustacio Urtun got a free kick in the 75th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Rosendo Gaztea recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ildefonso Roderigo. Rosendo Gaztea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Ramon Timo scored 0-4 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ildefonso Roderigo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the game, Camarones's Jairo Blasi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ildefonso Roderigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Camarones played a much better game than Racing Club and deserved their victory. The Racing Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
