If Emilio Ramone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Cornelio Cuartio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fernández's Emilio Claus. Emilio Claus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Club Atletico La Cantera's Pascual Rexino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico La Cantera from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Fernández getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ezequiel Ihintza hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Emilio Ramone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Club Atletico La Cantera's Teodosio Gelmiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emilio Claus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico La Cantera's Damian Rolado got a free kick in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodosio Gelmiro to make the kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico La Cantera's goalkeeper Pascual Rexino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Club Atletico La Cantera's Flavio Iratzeder ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emilio Claus. Emilio Claus yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Flavio Bonadona put in a rough tackle. 69 minutes into the game, one of Fernández:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Emilio Claus went to the wrong direction when Hugo Timo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Candido Demario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Emilio Claus made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Librado in the 79th minute of play forced Club Atletico La Cantera's goalkeeper Pascual Rexino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Librado hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The supporters of Club Atletico La Cantera booed when Fernández was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Artaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornelio Cuartio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Emilio Claus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cornelio Cuartio got free with Emilio Claus in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Fernández's Emilio Claus got control of the ball when Candido Demario tried to sneak it across the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Fernández's goalkeeper Emilio Claus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cornelio Cuartio. A collision led to Fernández getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Roque Medina hit a great ball. Emilio Claus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Gelmiro in the 99th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Club Atletico La Cantera had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
