Cristobal Neron stood somewhat misplaced when Samuel Horado came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 9 minute. In the 13th minute, Ubaldo Feliu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristobal Neron was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Cristobal Neron was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Samuel Horado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 16 minute of play. Santiago Haritzeder's late challenge caught a Profundidad FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuel Horado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Profundidad FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. If Fabricio Maureo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute Profundidad FC were awarded a corner. Arnulfo Fernado went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Arnulfo Fernado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Boca Juniors's Cristobal Neron did a great save. Profundidad FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
