The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amadeo Unai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Iruya booed when HERMETICA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Piearres didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Erasmo Unai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HERMETICA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erasmo Unai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teobaldo Constancio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Unai in the 27th minute of play. Gavino Garaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 33 minutes, Benito Mendebal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HERMETICA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Mendebal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Iruya's Maximo Chepe got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Iruya's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gavino Garaona fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 45 minutes into the match, HERMETICA's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Bilbo came free, but Teobaldo Constancio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximo Chepe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Amadeo Unai made the kick off in the second half. HERMETICA's Benito Mendebal got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teobaldo Constancio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximo Chepe in the 59th minute. Benito Mendebal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Salomon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Ciriaco Guerau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Francisco Salomon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 played minutes HERMETICA got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Maurin. Iruya's Eusebio Brion couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for HERMETICA. Gavino Garaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Salomon having to interfere. The supporters of HERMETICA booed when Iruya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Brion didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th match minute, Iruya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Servando to maneuver through the defense. After 80 played minutes Iruya got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Brion. When Iruya's Amadeo Unai in 85 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Teobaldo Constancio guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. HERMETICA's Teobaldo Constancio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save HERMETICA from getting a goal against them. HERMETICA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Amadeo Unai scored to the left of an out of position Teobaldo Constancio, making the score, 0-1. If Benito Mendebal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Iruya had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
