The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of La Cantera:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palominos:s goal. Emilio Abadie lost his temper 20 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palominos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for La Cantera. Marek Skoroda stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gabriel Guillen. 2-1. Gabriel Guillen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Naike in the 26th minute of the match. If Baltasar Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Naike in the 34th minute of play forced Palominos's goalkeeper Gabriel Guillen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Mino got free with Wojciech Damaski in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivan Lluterio charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Lluterio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to La Cantera getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, La Cantera's Segundo Refugio got a free kick in the 58th minute. Marcos Mino scored 4-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wojciech Damaski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute, Alfonso Marcantonio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Palominos's goalkeeper Gabriel Guillen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Lluterio. In the 78th match minute, Palominos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Marcantonio to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 79 minutes, Bonifacio Jaen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Cantera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bonifacio Jaen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aldo Guerrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wojciech Damaski having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Palominos's Pastor Bikendi got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 95th minute, Palominos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bonifacio Jaen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. La Cantera's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
