The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amadeo Henry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carmelo Mattin kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute of the match Cristo Alfonso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pablo Haritz skillfully saved the ball. In the 11th match minute, La Mafia De Massoni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Pasqual to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in La Mafia De Massoni's zone, Ciro Frantzes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pablo Haritz came out of the goal and Ciro Frantzes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 minutes, Santos Pasqual mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Mafia De Massoni and the Vasco Sport Argentina players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Mafia De Massoni! Vinicio Matei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Pablo Haritz made a huge save. After having played for 20 minutes, Amadeo Henry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Mafia De Massoni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Henry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pablo Haritz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinicio Matei in the 23rd minute. When Flavio Gabon came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Vasco Sport Argentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Gabon couldn't finish the play. If Flavio Gabon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 played minutes Vasco Sport Argentina got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Silviano. 40 minutes in the game, Flavio Gabon fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pablo Haritz having to interfere. Vinicio Matei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Pablo Haritz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Flavio Gabon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasco Sport Argentina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Gabon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ezequiel Onofre's late challenge caught a Vasco Sport Argentina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Onofre helped the player get up and apologised. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amadeo Henry to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, one of La Mafia De Massoni:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 57 minutes into the match, La Mafia De Massoni's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Matei came free, but Pablo Haritz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Gabon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Pablo Haritz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes of play, Vasco Sport Argentina's Flavio Gabon made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pablo Haritz was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amadeo Henry in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harry Whittington saved Vasco Sport Argentina from getting behind. After having played for 74 minutes, Flavio Gabon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasco Sport Argentina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Gabon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. La Mafia De Massoni's Pablo Haritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Matei in the 77th minute of play. After 78 played minutes La Mafia De Massoni got a freekick which was hit by Cleto Fix. Amadeo Henry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Harry Whittington made a huge save. If Cleto Fix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasco Sport Argentina's Flavio Gabon got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pablo Haritz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Matei in the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in La Mafia De Massoni's zone, Flavio Gabon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pablo Haritz came out of the goal and Flavio Gabon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Amadeo Henry ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harry Whittington was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. There was no doubt that Vasco Sport Argentina were the better team. Vasco Sport Argentina's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
