The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonatan Baumar got free with Narciso Canor in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Dalmacio Rameriz hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Ismael Gabon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugenio Dantel. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ismael Gabon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gavino Naike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Dantel having to interfere. Saul Henry kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Gavino Naike had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugenio Dantel. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gavino Naike was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Eugenio Dantel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael Gabon's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Quilmes C.A's Narciso Canor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Quilmes C.A from getting a goal against them. Ismael Gabon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavino Naike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Eugenio Dantel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Ismael Gabon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Dantel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Gabon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Naike came free, but Eugenio Dantel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The supporters of Quilmes C.A booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Rameriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Gabon came free, but Eugenio Dantel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Ismael Gabon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Dantel came out of the goal and Ismael Gabon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Boca Juniors's Eugenio Dantel got control of the ball when Gavino Naike tried to sneak it across the goal line. Boca Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Gavino Naike scored to the left of an out of position Eugenio Dantel, making the score, 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Gavino Naike stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Dantel came out of the goal and Gavino Naike tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Filiberto Etxeberri got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Eugenio Dantel came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Quilmes C.A's Ismael Gabon. But to his dismay, Ismael Gabon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 88th minute, Jonatan Baumar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Gavino Naike fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Quilmes C.A were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Boca Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saul Henry took the corner. Eugenio Dantel came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Quilmes C.A's Gavino Naike. But to his dismay, Gavino Naike quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. The Boca Juniors fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Quilmes C.A were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
