A collision led to Maria del Carmen getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Vinicio Ederono hit a great ball. Tobias Soter made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Cecilio Gorka sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Eusebio Medero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maria del Carmen's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Medero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Gutierrez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Eusebio Medero came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Maria del Carmen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Medero couldn't finish the play. The wind increased when Felipe Bibiano made the kick off in the second half. If Eusebio Medero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Maria del Carmen played a much better game than Chillar and deserved their victory. The Chillar players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
