An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Godoy in the 12th minute of play forced Atencio AFC's goalkeeper Isidoro Claus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casimiro Godoy in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidoro Claus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Atencio AFC's Isidoro Claus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Farias in the 21st minute of play. Ateneo deportivo FC's Justo Acuña got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isidoro Claus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Farias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Atencio AFC's Alejandro Gutxi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bartolo Dacio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 31st minute, Claudio Pacorro made a precise shot to the right of Isidoro Claus. Atencio AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. With 38 minutes on the clock, Edgard Isadore commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The audience held their breath when Ricardo Dimo in the 40th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Isidoro Claus's left hand side. After 42 minutes of play, Ateneo deportivo FC's Segundo Farias made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isidoro Claus was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Teofilo Iraitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Casimiro Godoy made a kick off. Claudio Pacorro succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3. A well placed Casimiro Godoy short distance shot in the 56th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. When Justo Acuña came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Ateneo deportivo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justo Acuña couldn't finish the play. Casimiro Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Segundo Farias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ateneo deportivo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. If Justo Acuña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justo Acuña got free with Isidoro Claus in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 83 played minutes Ateneo deportivo FC got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Sedeni. Justo Acuña struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Isidoro Claus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ateneo deportivo FC. 88 minutes into the match, Segundo Farias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Isidoro Claus, 2-7. Ateneo deportivo FC's attentive Marciano Sedeni managed to snatch the ball when Francisco Montxo made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 95th minute Casimiro Godoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Claus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ateneo deportivo FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
