Scuadra Cuerva's Victor Tome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Shantala in the 13th minute of play. When Mateo Barea came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Scuadra Cuerva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Barea couldn't finish the play. Mateo Barea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Elpidio Cedro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natalio Ganix kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Scuadra Cuerva's Mateo Barea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elpidio Cedro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. La Guardia Imperial's Elpidio Cedro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save La Guardia Imperial from getting a goal against them. The nice shot from Mateo Barea in the 31stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Elpidio Cedro had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Arturo Orkatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Cedro having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Miguel Aires notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Scuadra Cuerva's Victor Tome. Victor Tome was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute, Miguel Aires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Tome was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 46th minute Maximo Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Tome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Scuadra Cuerva players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Guardia Imperial were winning 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Aires was the one to do the kick off. Joaquin Intxixu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Tome having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquin Intxixu got free with Victor Tome in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in La Guardia Imperial's zone, Mateo Barea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Cedro came out of the goal and Mateo Barea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Arturo Orkatz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scuadra Cuerva's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Orkatz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elpidio Cedro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 69 played minutes La Guardia Imperial got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Aires. Conrado Mannuel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elpidio Cedro. La Guardia Imperial's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Victor Tome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Shantala, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Victor Tome was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Miguel Aires capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Miguel Aires really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Natalio Ganix kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. La Guardia Imperial had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
