Spectators: 6634 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1634, VIP seats: 0) Ricardo Gasteiz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Oroño AFC's Ricardo Gasteiz got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldo Maiorga in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elpidio Cedro saved La Guardia Imperial from getting behind. Prudencio Gar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Aires's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Miguel Aires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joaquin Intxixu kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Elpidio Cedro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Gasteiz in the 24th minute of the match. When Natalio Ganix fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Guardia Imperial's protests and gave Natalio Ganix a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Miguel Aires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Prudencio Gar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Aires's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. 41 minutes into the match, Joaquin Intxixu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Prudencio Gar. Oroño AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquin Intxixu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Aires made a kick off. Prudencio Gar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natalio Ganix in the 52nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Prudencio Gar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to La Guardia Imperial getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Natalio Ganix hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, La Guardia Imperial's Maximo Shantala got a free kick in the 60th minute. 65 minutes into the game, Silverio Natanael was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oroño AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Guardia Imperial the free kick. Augusto Iigo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 66th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 69 played minutes Oroño AFC got a freekick which was hit by Javier Pacifico. 72 minutes into the match, Oroño AFC's goalkeeper Prudencio Gar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquin Intxixu. Prudencio Gar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Aires, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Miguel Aires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Prudencio Gar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Oroño AFC's Angelino Muc got a free kick in the 79th minute. When Joaquin Intxixu came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the La Guardia Imperial fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Intxixu couldn't finish the play. Freddy Bladi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Miguel Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Guardia Imperial's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Aires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prudencio Gar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Guardia Imperial's goalkeeper Elpidio Cedro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. La Guardia Imperial played a much better game than Oroño AFC and deserved their victory. The Oroño AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
