After 12 played minutes CCCP got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Gipuzkoa. CCCP's Braulio Locaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Gora in the 13th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, 程渊 managed to get in a good position for a shot. boca juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but 程渊 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braulio Locaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Moises Videl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teo Azeari, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Braulio Locaio came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by boca juniors's Jonatan Lore. But to his dismay, Jonatan Lore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Jonatan Lore came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the boca juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonatan Lore couldn't finish the play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Hector Frederik put in a rough tackle. In the 31st minute, one of CCCP:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CCCP. The referee gave boca juniors a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Generoso Iyan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CCCP's Braulio Locaio. 1-2. In the 41st minute, Jonatan Lore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Jonatan Lore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. boca juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Lore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, CCCP's Angelo Gipuzkoa got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half boca juniors were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benito Tirso to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of boca juniors booed when CCCP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Gipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, boca juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Gipuzkoa came free, but Moises Videl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 程渊 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 程渊 came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Braulio Locaio could save by the left post. Braulio Locaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Lore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Jonatan Lore took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Braulio Locaio to make any attempt to save it. If 程渊 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. boca juniors made a substitution. Patrik Tunberg replaced 程渊. Jonatan Lore received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Braulio Locaio came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonatan Lore slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 80th minute. Cristobal Mateo made in the 93rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Angelo Gipuzkoa immediately put the ball in play. boca juniors's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
