In the 15th minute, Rigoberto Castulo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Morales fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Gaspar Nastasio fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morales's protests and gave Gaspar Nastasio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Morales getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Gaspar Nastasio hit a great ball. With a little luck, Morales's Esteban Ixona got control of the ball when Dante Luzaide tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Roland in the 33rd minute of play forced Independiente FC's goalkeeper Igor Buinton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Santos Bernabel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santos Bernabel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Raul Liher made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Morales's Rigoberto Castulo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Igor Buinton. That made the score 1-4 after 53 minutes of play. After 60 played minutes Morales got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Roland. After 62 minutes of play, Morales's Conrado Roland made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Igor Buinton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Esteban Ixona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dante Luzaide in the 66th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Angelino Gartzen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Morales fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Liher in the 79th minute of play forced Morales's goalkeeper Esteban Ixona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Gartzen in the 80th minute of play forced Independiente FC's goalkeeper Igor Buinton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Buinton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Castulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Morales's Rigoberto Castulo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Igor Buinton. Igor Buinton yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. Raul Liher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Independiente FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Morales's performance. The match ended with a win for Morales.
