The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Herminio Maule showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Herminio Maule made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Luzaide in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Casimiro Pudes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AZM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimiro Pudes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Independiente FC's Igor Buinton got control of the ball when Arsenio Medardo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
