Benigno Vargas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benigno Vargas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonides Tome's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute Mauro Cibran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Los ultravioletas getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Spas Tzankov hit a great ball. When Benicio Ekaitz came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Nacio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benicio Ekaitz couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Nacio FC's zone, Arsenio Quiroga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lino Cresencio came out of the goal and Arsenio Quiroga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Leonides Tome made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Ekaitz in the 58th minute of play forced Los ultravioletas's goalkeeper Benigno Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los ultravioletas's Romulo Constancio got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benigno Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Tome in the 63rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Nacio FC's Guaberto Benvido slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benigno Vargas. That made the score 0-2 after 64 minutes of play. Armando Etxekopar kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Nacio FC's Silvano Indartsu was substituted for Guaberto Benvido. A collision led to Los ultravioletas getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Armando Etxekopar hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Leonides Tome's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benigno Vargas was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. A hard shot 95 in the game by Leonides Tome from a close distance when the talented Benigno Vargas managed to make a qualified save. Los ultravioletas's players were relieved. When the match was over Nacio FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Los ultravioletas throughout the match.
