With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnaldo Haritzeder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dominick Toussain took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnaldo Haritzeder. Arnaldo Haritzeder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Arnaldo Haritzeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominick Toussain in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Conesa were awarded a corner. Everardo Ciano went to the cornerflag to take it. Banfield's Arnaldo Haritzeder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Ivănescu in the 17th minute of play. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Guaberto Hartz made the kick off in the second half. Dominick Toussain came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arnaldo Haritzeder could save by the left post. In the 60th minute, Dominick Toussain made a precise shot to the right of Arnaldo Haritzeder.
