Spectators: 7061 (Terracing: 5297, Seating: 1624, VIP seats: 140) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luis Evarado kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Teodoro Cesaro had to leave the field with a concussion. Marcelino Mikeldi's late challenge caught a Monumental's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelino Mikeldi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd match minute, Piñero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Mikeldi to maneuver through the defense. Ruperto Luke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Agostinho Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agostinho Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Evarado, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Agostinho Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Evarado in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Katia in the 14th minute of play forced Monumental's goalkeeper Isaias Ruy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Evarado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Evarado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vinicio Matthew charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vinicio Matthew the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, Vinicio Matthew hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prospero Boni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Agostinho Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sixto Katia fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piñero's protests and gave Sixto Katia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Piñero getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Sixto Katia hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sixto Katia to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Luis Evarado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monumental fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Ruperto Luke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Agostinho Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Evarado in the 73rd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Piñero fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Monumental a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Feliciano Tavio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Piñero's Agostinho Fonseca. 2-0. 87 minutes into the match, Piñero's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Evarado came free, but Agostinho Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Boni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruperto Luke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agostinho Fonseca having to interfere. Agostinho Fonseca came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Monumental's Luis Evarado. But to his dismay, Luis Evarado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Monumental getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Ruperto Luke hit a great ball. Piñero's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
