When Valeriu Boeru came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Wilson F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valeriu Boeru couldn't finish the play. Apolo Casado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Telesforo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute of the match Wilson F.C. got a corner. Mamaguita FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aristides Romano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Wilson F.C.'s Robustiano Lopez getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The Wilson F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Wilson F.C.'s Valeriu Boeru looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Valeriu Boeru received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal.
