In the 19th minute of the match, Fermin Louis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Octavio Barros was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. David Peruxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Mendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Octavio Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fermin Louis went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Fermin Louis could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Octavio Barros however easily saved by the left post. In the 33rdth minute of the game Lucio Quico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.C. Milan's Octavio Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fermin Louis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Octavio Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo Mendez in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Peruxu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 53rd minute Erasmo Mendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Peruxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fermin Louis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavio Barros having to make a save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Louis couldn't finish the play.
